The cat is beloved in the community, and several people on his Facebook page have called for a monument or statue to honor him. Cancilla told IndyStar Monday afternoon that the family is still searching for answers regarding his weekend disappearance. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to message the Pirate Cat Facebook page. "Just remember that he’ll be sailing the high seas all the time now with barrels of rum, plenty of wenches and not a cloud in the sky," they wrote. "Just the way he wanted it."
